Easter 2011

We had a great Easter this year! We were spoiled by our parents and Dylan is loving all of his new toys. I really wasn't very good about taking pictures. We did manage to get a few of Dylan after church in his new outfit, but he was really busy filling the tulips with dirt. This little one is all boy and is in heaven when he has dirt, rocks, and a shovel.

Checking out his basket!

His attention span for finding eggs lasted about 2 minutes. I think that he ate his weight in candy which is fine by us. We'll take any extra calories that we can get!

To say that he LOVES his golf clubs would be an understatement.

We buzzed his head before church. He looks so dang cute and I think that he looks a bit older as well. I couldn't pick just one!

Aren't my tulips pretty! I love this time of year. Happy Easter! We are so thankful for our Savior and eternal families.

This little mister has been soooo sick for over a week. It seemed that each day he would get worse and worse. He is starting to get a little bit of spunk back. I guess we were a little premature in the thinking that we were in the clear(considering it is April) and could start getting out and about more. Wrong! RSV strikes yet again. We have yet to make it a season without Dylan getting it. We had a few close calls with dehydration, but luckily for his feeding tube and Pedialyte we avoided the hospital.

He has pretty much stayed in bed for over a week. For those that know him...this is unusual! He is usually go go go. He was quite obsessed with this gold party hat. It was left over from his birthday and he pretty much wore it for 3 days straight. Whatever makes you feel better buddy!

He has lost over a pound which is a lot of weight for him. He face is skinny, but he is such a cutie! Get better soon peanut! We all need some sleep.

Preschool

Well my handsome little man started preschool on Feb. 24. Seriously is it already that time. He is getting so old! To say he is a fan would be a huge lie at this point in time, but it is getting better. He goes twice a week from 9-noon. The first several times I went and stayed with him. He told me "I sleepy" at least 30 times the first day! I just finished up training the teacher and aides on his tube feeding. Now I don't have to go in the middle of class anymore. It has been an interesting few weeks making this transition. I think he will do a lot better when I am not there. He is quite the Mama's boy and it has been hard on the both of us. I'm sure in a months time he will be super excited about school. I am hoping that he will soon actually wear his cute monkey backpack. He despises it at this point. We are loving the art projects that are starting to cover our fridge. I am looking forward to having a little time to myself for the first time in 3 years!(I finally only feel a little bit guilty saying that) I think I may just start going to the gym again. 3 cheers for that!
I love this little guy so much and am so happy with the progress that he is making. It definitely has not been an easy go for us, but there is absolutely nothing that compares to the joy that he brings into our lives. We love you Bubba!

Golly Gee look who turned THREE

I can't believe that my baby is 3! Where does the time go? We are loving this age(minus the fits!) Dylan is full of energy...nothing new in that department. He talks non-stop and loves to give kisses. This little man loves all things Curious George, Mickey Mouse, balls, and cars. He doesn't go anywhere with out his basketball, helicopter, and his "shapes" (sunglasses). He loves his blankies. He hates when drawers aren't pushed in all the way, when doors aren't shut, and when his pants ride up above the ankle! It is hilarious. He still climbs everything except he has never tried to climb out of his crib. We can't figure that one out, but we hope he continues to think that he is stuck! He continues to think that he owns the house and his parents...lets be honest he kind of does:) He can be extremely stubborn and extremely sweet. He is a flirt and loves attention!
Dylan loved opening his presents this year. He was excited about all of his presents except the clothes. Come to find out that they are not that exciting to a 3 year old! He was extremely excited about his Curious George blanket and pillow case that Grandmas Davis made for him. His reaction was so cute.

He got a T-ball that he plays with a ton now. He is pretty dang good when it comes to sports, and he can hit that ball pretty far! My front room has mostly turned in to Dylan's play room. I now have a T-ball, soccer net, and a basket ball hoop amongst all of his other toys that are decorating the room.
Jeff and I got him a 4-wheeler that he is loving. It is pretty funny to watch him drive around. He has no concept of steering, so he just goes until he runs into something. Lol. He likes to drag one leg so that he doesn't go too fast.

Birthday cake. Yum. These pictures make us very happy. I, of course, took video of it as well. It is a big deal folks! Dylan has been making some progress with eating. He is not quite as fearful about it and is willing to taste some foods and eat some new ones. We couldn't be happier about it.

Dyl had a cold on his birthday so our plans were changed a bit. We hung out and played with his new toys all day, went out for pizza and watched a movie with our little family.

Loving his new bat. Look it works both ways!

This is the face that says geez Mom, you've had that camera in my face all day long.
*Dylan's stats at 3*
Height: 33 inches
Weight: 23 lbs even
Tops: 2T
Pants: 18-24 months
Shoes: size 5

We love our monkey so much! Happy Birthday Big Boy!!!!

My Valentine

We celebrated Valentines Day a few days early. Jeff took me on a romantic get-away to a resort in Midway. We had a great time relaxing, eating, and spending time at the spa. Thanks for the fun weekend babe! I had planned to take a lot of pictures, but I didn't! We did visit this ice castle display they had going on up there. It was awesome...and the only time I took any pics.

The Tongs

This child of ours has the funniest obsessions. He is such a crack up. He hates stuffed animals, yet he chooses to sleep with things like medicine cups, walnuts, cars, balls, tongs etc.

So this is the latest- He loves these salad tongs. They are his binoculars, his bat, his grabber. The tongs are the bomb in this little man's eyes. I'm sure it'll be something else next month, but I couldn't let this one pass without documenting it.

Snow Day

Dylan has always loved to look at the snow, but hasn't ever really been interested in playing in it until today. I was out shoveling and next thing I know he is at the door holding his little tiny yellow shovel asking to come out. So of course I obliged and he was my little helper.

After nap time we bundled up in snow clothes and headed out to play. I must have taken 50 pictures and put on quite the show for the neighbors trying to get Dylan to actually look at me. He was way too busy shoveling, kicking, and running around the snowy yard. He kept saying "cheese momma" like he was smiling for the camera. Not so...but I think he thought he was being cooperative! Oh well, I managed some cute shots. PS...I'm loving my new camera.

Dylan refused to wear gloves. I let it slide this time, but next time I think I'll try taping them on!

D and his cars

This video is from Christmas morning. I love it! Dylan LOVES this toy.

Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas and were all spoiled rotten! It was such a fun day spent with our families. We woke Dylan up at 9:00 and he was still dazed for quite awhile. He didn't know quite what was going on with all of these presents! I crack up every time I look at this picture. He was so sleepy. It was fun to watch him rip at the wrapping paper this year. He didn't care much for opening clothes, but he sure liked toys and books!

Dylan showing off all of his loot. He was extremely spoiled!

Uncle Jeff and baby Ivy. We loved loving on her. Such a cutie!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Gma and Gpa Davis. We had a great dinner, skyped with Nat and Mark, and Dylan opened several presents! Dylan even stopped playing for a few minutes to say hi to Natalie and Mark. We were sad that Mark, Nat, Mich, Nate, and Kade couldn't make it home for Christmas.

Yum Yum...here Papa you have some.

Dylan and Kato the cat have somewhat of an understanding these days. Dylan is trying to give Kato some candy. Luckily Kato is declawed, Dylan just giggles when he swats at him.
