Picture Time with Dylan

We got some pictures of Dylan done over the weekend. Brandi had a friend do them for us and she did an awesome job. We will be posting them when we get the pictures back, but as for now go check out Torie's blog to see some pics of Dylan.

P.S. Dylan crapped all over me just before we took the pictures. It was pretty hilarious, but also very disgusting.

Thanks Torie for doing such a great job!

Blessing Day-June 22, 2008

We had Dylan's baby blessing yesterday at Grandma and Grandpa Cutler's house. It went perfect. Jeff gave a beautiful blessing. We just had immediate family there since we are supposed to keep Dylan away from crowds. It is great to have so many priesthood holders in our family. Dylan looked so cute and was a good boy for his blessing. He has grown so much in the last few weeks. He is approaching 8 lbs! He is "cooing" a lot and has started smiling so much in the last few days. It is so funny!

Summer Fun

Dylan is such a snuggle bug!

It has been a fun and busy few weeks for us. Michelle and Nate came out to visit for a week. It was the first time that Nate had seen Dylan so it was exciting for us. We had fun spending time with the fam. Nate hauled his fishing boat up and so the boys spent some time on the lake. The girls scrapbooked and shopped. We celebrated Grandma Davis' 50th birthday and all in all had a great week. Dylan was spoiled rotten and was constantly held. It was great! Kate came to Utah for 2 quick days but managed to spoil Dylan rotten with toys and clothes. I miss her way too much...she lives too far away and doesn't come home enough! We had a pool party with Jeff's friends and their fmailies. It was fun to see everyone. We dipped Dylan's feet in the water and he wasn't too thrilled about it. A little too cold for him. We also had a wonderful Father's day. Jeff is such a great Dad and it is so fun to watch him with Dylan. They are the best of buddies. It was a great day to spend with our families.

Playing at the park

Grandpa Cutler on Father's day. He and Dylan relaxing in the shade. We have found that D isn't such a huge fan of the heat.

Uncle Bryce- I love this picture. He's going to be a great Daddy one day!

Great Grandpa Davis on Father's Day

Uncle Lane and Dylan. We are so excited to have Lane home with us for the summer. Dylan has now met almost all of the family except for Wyatt, Jamie and Cooper. Hopefully he and Cooper will be buddies!

4 months

Dylan is 4 months old! He is doing so good and we are loving having him home with us. He is such a snuggle bug. I can't get enough of my little peanut. His eating is coming along and we are hoping that he will make a lot of progress as he gets bigger and stronger. His 4 month measurements are 7 lbs 3 oz and 19 inches long. He is still below the 3rd percentile but that's ok...he's gaining. He is such a mellow baby which is a good thing because this feeding business is a lot of work! Developmentally he is right on track which we are very grateful for. He is doing a lot of things that a 4 month old should do, but everything that a 1 month old should be doing(one month is his corrected age). It is so funny watching him do things that a 4 month old would be doing when he still looks like a newborn! He is finally fitting into some of his newborn clothes, and we graduated from preemie to newborn diapers. We love having him home and finally feeling like a real family. We're happy to report that his eyes have healed wonderfully. Dr. Carver said they still have some development to do, but that will come with time. We have been blessed beyond measure with Dylan. He is such a miracle and we are so lucky to still have him here with us. He has been through so much in these 4 short months and has really shown us that he is a fighter. He is our million dollar baby!

The triplets. I'm mean seriously did any of my genes pass on???

Dylan sporting his rally cap while watching the Dodgers game. The coat was Jeff's when he was a baby. And yes...that is Dylan's build a bear's hat. I hope one of these days he can wear a hat that isn't a doll hat!

Colby is so cute. He is really into holding Dylan since they have a new baby coming to their house in a few months. We love our nieces and nephews. It is so fun that Dylan has so many. Addy is a crack up with him. She calls him Baby Dylan and loves to be right in his face. Baby Dylan smiled at me, Baby Dylan moved his foot, Baby Dylan looked at me.....
We are so lucky to have our family so close.

Laser Eye Surgery

After our last eye exam the optometrist informed us that the blood vessels in Dylan's left eye were growing in the wrong direction. He said that if they weren't fixed that his peripheral vision in the future could be affected. So our Saturday consisted of another hospital visit. The three of us are getting way too used to this. It was minor surgery, but it still made us a bit nervous. Dylan was such a good boy and wasn't fussy at all. He actually seemed to like the brace they put him in to keep him still.

The procedure only lasted about 25 minutes, but they had us stay 12 hours just to monitor him while he recovered from the seditives.

Dylan was such a good boy so his Daddy suprised him with his first set of wheels, a new red wagon and we spent some time Sunday trying it out.

The surgery went well and the doctors accomplished exactly what they set out to do. He is such a tough little guy and has been through a lot. There is no doubt in our minds that Dylan is a special little boy. We love our little guy more than anything in the world.
